You know, there are the perfect Saturday’s for us photographers. I will describe to you the feeling. You have a great nights sleep with no nightmares of forgetting your batteries at a wedding, etc. Your eyes open and there is no sunlight coming through the window. There is not a drop of rain anywhere. You have everything in order and you feel…… calm. Calm? Yes, calm. Your not nervous or anxious… you feel like this is the day. This is your day! You arrive on time. Everything is on time. The chemistry with you and your camera is unparalleled. You shoot and shoot and shoot. You are in love with it. The passion that you have for your photography is running through your veins and it is exhillirating.
Yes… this is what we photographers feel on our perfect Saturday’s. We all search for the feeling that we get when our camera become an extension of our souls. There is nothing that gives me chills more than thinking about being aligned with the universe and capturing a moment in time exactly how I feel it.

Recently, I photographed an engagement session for Jared and Andrea. When I met with them last year Andrea and I discovered that we grew up in the same neighborhood and actually played softball together. I instantly felt like we formed a bond.
It was so nice to have had the opportunity to shoot their engagement photo’s prior to their wedding in December. We started up at West End Overlook. It was a lot colder this time than my previous shoot with Joe and Melissa. Jared and Andrea were dressed for the occasion though.
After the Overlook and we travelled down to Station Square. Jared proposed to Andrea on the Smithfield Street bridge so they wanted some shots with that in the background. We found a great overlook which enabled us to get some shots of the bridge plus some close up shots of the city buildings.
It was a great session and I am all the more exited for their wedding. I am so happy that they chose to have me photograph their engagement session. Below are some of my favorites. ENJOY!

Matt and Shannan had a lovely ceremony and included a balloon release at the end. I had only ever had the chance to photograph this once before. It turned out great and definitely added a different kind of energy to them being announced.
Onsite shooting went great. Below are some of my favorites from the day. Thanks to Matt and Shannan for selecting me as the photographer for their wedding day =)
